This listing is designed for fresh water fish ponds and tanks where high volumes of town water may need to be filtered to remove chlorine and chloramines.
Includes 2x standard clip on garden hose connectors per picture 2 and the filter combination selected. Depending on the filter combination selected this unit will remove / reduce chlorine for between 30,000 [1uM spun sediment + 5uM Matrikx CBC] and 100,000 litres [5uM Matrikx CBC + Pentair CBR2-10] as well as micro-organisms i.e. cryptosporidium, giardia and cysts, chloramines, fluoride, volatile organic compounds, pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and a range of other chemical traces that could be in water.
Accommodates all standard 10"x2.5" standard water filter cartridges + Manufactured according to NSF and Water Manufacturers Association Standards. This unit is most effective when run at flow rates of below 6 litres per minute and at higher flow rates the effectiveness of the filters reduce [as this filter works on contact time with the media so if you are not in a hurry the slower you run the filter the better removal rates you'll get so if can run it below 6 litres a minute with one carbon block and 4 litres a minute with two carbon block you'll achieve the best removal rates].
The actual measurements of the water filter cartridges supplied with this unit are +/- [25cm] x [7cm] and if you need to filter at a flow rate above 7.5 litres per minute you'll need to consider a larger unit which we can advise on.
It's important to understand with this system that although the chemicals listed above are removed / reduced this filter will not reduce the TDS reading of your filtered water and to do that you'll need a reverse osmosis unit. Reverse osmosis + DI units are recommended for marine aquariums but not normally for freshwater aquariums and is supplied with 2x ¾” threaded to garden hose clip adapters [per picture 2].
The style of garden hose clip adapter supplied may vary from those displayed in the listing picture above depending on stock levels but will preform the same function.
Depending on stock levels the housings supplied with this system may or may not have the red pressure release button on top of the housing as this button function isn't necessary for a portable system with garden clips which is not under constant pressure. This system is sold as a portable caravan system and isn't approved for permanent installation to town mains water supply.

This water filter system carries a 2 year warranty on all parts supplied in the original order which is subject to our standard terms and conditions and includes the prerequisites that theses systems are not permanently connected, are not installed in constant direct sunlight and filters are changed using only our replacement filters at least 12 monthly.
Depending on your delivery post code and whether you have paid for express post we may need to supply this item with the bracket assembled the wrong way around to be able to fit this item in an Auspost 3kg bag. If this is the case you'll need to unscrew the 8x screws holding the bracket in place and reassemble it the correct way around using a medium Phillips head screw driver which is not supplied with this sale.
